Volunteers, donors, and neighbors who want to help.

Create a profile, save opportunities, RSVP and apply to events or volunteer roles, track applications, and manage your availability.

Host / organization account

Nonprofits, agencies, churches, mutual aid groups, organizers, and outreach teams.

Hosts must be verified before posting events, volunteer roles, or paid positions. Verification keeps volunteers and unhoused neighbors safe.

Admin and reviewer access is never granted automatically. Selected applicants may be interviewed by DailyHomelessNews staff. Approved reviewers receive limited permissions first.

How roles work

Public users can apply to join the review team, but nobody becomes an admin automatically. Company Admin and Super Admin accounts are invite-only and internal. Community Reviewer access requires an application, interview, and approval — and starts with limited permissions.

Public roles

Visitor: Reads news and browses events, organizations, states, and Find Help resources. No account needed.
Helper: Saves opportunities, applies to events and roles, and manages profile details.
Host Applicant: Applied for host verification but not approved yet.
Host Member: Helps manage one verified organization.
Host Admin: Manages an organization profile, events, roles, and applicants.
